Ina Garten’s famous motto is “store-bought is fine,” and she applies it even to cheesecake. As the Barefoot Contessa shared on The Mel Robbins Podcast, her first step for a fabulous cheesecake is to skip baking altogether: buy a really good New York-style cheesecake from a bakery.

The homemade touch comes on top – a fresh raspberry sauce made with fresh raspberries, sugar, and a dash of lemon juice, poured over the store-bought cake. “Now you’ve made it your own,” Garten says, “and you’ve got something absolutely delicious” – with none of the stress of baking one from scratch.
